Some Q's regarding the organisation of a wedding?
Right, me and my partner have decided that we are either going to get married in on October 2nd 2010 or May 7th 2011, the earlier date is depending on whether or not we can get the deposit ready for my dream wedding venue.
I just have a few questions regarding the registrar, do I need to check with them BEFORE I book the venue to ensure that there is a registrar available for that day? If I am getting married in a church do I still need a registrar?
Also, I want to download a wedding planner to keep up to date with the organisational side of things. I also want to get a wedding planner journal that I can take with me to dress fittings, meetings etc etc. Any ideas where to get a good one?
What is your best tip?
One last thing, does anyone have any unique ideas to make a wedding reception more original and fun for us and our guests?
Many Thanks!

Go to http://www.theknot.com and sign up. It is free and they have so many useful tools like a checklist, budget calculator, guest list organizer and many ideas. It has been a lifesaver!
Go to any book store and you can find a planner (often even a wedding oriented one).
My best tip is to remember that it is just one day, and the reception is just a really fun party. It's about the marriage itself, not just the wedding. And have fun!
My best advice to you is to use the internet as your planning guide/journal. http://www.knot.com is a great resource. I also love http://www.weddingwire.com. I am planning my small wedding for May 2010 and the internet has been my greatest resource to find potential venues, caterers, favors, dresses, and more. I also suggest looking into hiring a wedding coordinator to take care of most things for you so that you can truly enjoy the process and the day. I found one for only $300.( Keep in mind she is a coworker of mine)
Congratulations and Good Luck
